USDesign OSS v6.2 - Open VMS Platform OSS v6.2 from USDesign offers solutions for integration of optical WORM, rewritable, multifunction, DVD and UDO technology for the Open VMS Platform. OSS v6.2 provides total transparent operation and the ability for the optical devices (platters) to "look and operate" like a standard magnetic hard disk. Customers that use OSS software make "no" changes to any of their application software. OSS supports standalone and jukebox (library) storage devices. OSS v6.2 operates on all of today's industry standard optical storage hardware. OSS provides sophisticated management software and powerful API's for jukebox operation.OSS v6.2 from USDesign has also been modified to provide a solution for previous Compaq (Digital) OSMS/OSDS customers. Customers with OSMS or OSDS software will be able to convert to OSS and have readability of older optical platters.
